Luxembourg's national railway company, the CFL, has announced the disruption of trains between Luxembourg and France on Thursday 18 September 2025.

Due to a strike in France, trains will be disrupted in both directions between France and Luxembourg on Thursday.

According to the latest information, the disruptions will particularly affect regional trains on the Luxembourg – Thionville – Metz line.

The SNCF signalled that the strike would neither impact TGV trains running on the aforementioned line nor trains on the Luxembourg – Bascharage-Sanem – Rodange – Longwy line.

Nevertheless, the CFL warned that cancellations and delays remain possible on other routes between Luxembourg and France.

The strike may also disrupt trains between Luxembourg and France on the morning of Friday 19 September 2025.

The CFL advised customers wishing to travel to France from Luxembourg (and vice versa) to check their journey via www.cfl.lu or via the CFL mobile application.
