On the afternoon of Wednesday 12 February 2025, Luxembourg's national railway company, the CFL, confirmed the gradual resumption of trains between Luxembourg and Bettembourg, following disruptions earlier in the day.

Shortly before 13:00 on Wednesday, the CFL reported that a technical issue involving the switch at Bettembourg had resulted in the interruption of trains on the Luxembourg – Esch-sur-Alzette – Rodange and Luxembourg – Thionville – Metz lines, between Luxembourg and Bettembourg, in both directions. Replacement buses were put in place, whilst maintenance teams worked on-site to fix the problem.

Around 14:00 on Wednesday, the CFL confirmed that rail traffic on the affected section was gradually resuming. It noted, however, that some delays and cancellations may still occur.

The CFL invited passengers to consult the timetable search on the CFL website and/or check the mobile application for more information on timetables and transport alternatives.
