Early evening on Thursday 23 January 2025, Luxembourg's national railway company, the CFL, reported that train traffic on the Luxembourg – Wasserbillig – Trier line has been interrupted in both directions between Wasserbillig and Trier.
This disruption is due to a technical issue involving the control room at Karthaus (DB network) in Germany.
The CFL has responded by setting up a replacement bus service. These buses run from Wasserbillig to Trier (and vice versa). They will serve all stops between Wasserbillig and Trier.
At the time of writing, it was not clear how long this disruption would last. The CFL said it would provide an update as soon as it receives news from Deutsche Bahn (DB).
