Since 2016, six public European schools have opened their doors as part of efforts to diversify the school offering, intending to better meet the needs of the school population. In 2023, the first EIDE candidates took the European Baccalaureate exams, followed, in 2024, by the first LLIS candidates.
The programmes and tests for the European Baccalaureate are the same in all European schools, the Luxembourg Ministry of Education, Children and Youth noted. The final mark is made up of 50% of the mark for the year, 35% of the marks of the written exam and 15% of the marks of the oral exam.
