On Wednesday 20 May 2026, the Luxembourg Ministry of Home Affairs announced the appointment of Nadine Braconnier to the office of Mayor of the municipality of Käerjeng.
According to the ministry, by the Grand Ducal Decree of Monday 11 May 2026, Nadine Braconnier has been appointed to the office of Mayor of the Municipality of Käerjeng, succeeding her husband, former mayor and Member of Parliament Michel Wolter.
Before becoming mayor, she served as president of Käerjeng's Christian Social People's Party (CSV) and was elected on the CSV list during the 2023 municipal elections. She was unanimously proposed as future mayor by the municipal council after being sworn in as councillor in May 2026.
