The next Council of Ministers on "Agriculture and Fisheries" will be held on Monday 15 April 2019 in Luxembourg.

The Council will discuss the post-2020 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) reform package and in particular a regulation on the CAP strategic plans. Ministers will also discuss ecological architecture.

Next, the Council will hold an exchange of views on the final report of the Task Force for Rural Africa. This task force was set up in April 2018 to provide recommendations on how to strengthen the rural sector in Africa and to optimise the role of the EU in creating jobs and promoting economic development.

Representing Luxembourg on this occasion will be Romain Schneider, the Minister of Agriculture, Viticulture and Rural Development.
