In the lead-up to the next general election, which is most likely two years away in 2018, the main opposition party, the Christian Social People's Party (CSV), will be led by the party's former Minister for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, Claude Wiseler.
A government minister under Jean-Claude Juncker's CSV government coalition with the LSAP, and currently the party's parliamentary leader of the opposition, Claude Wiseler was nominated at the party's convention on Saturday.
In receiving the party's nomination, Claude Wiseler, stated that he would campaign for economic modernisation, fiscal prudence and individual taxation.
