Minister of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Nicolas Schmit, will be in Brussels tomorrow, to attend the Tripartite Social Summit focusing on Growth and Employment.
Entitled 'Boosting Convergence, Jobs and Growth: Towards a Strengthened Role of Social Partners', thr Tripartite Social Summit will take place within the context of the European Council, forming one of the tools of European social dialogue.
The Summit was the outcome of a Council Decision on 6 March 2003, and has since contributed to dialogue exchange concerning the drafting and implementation of the economic and social policies of the EU.
Nicolas Schmit will intervene on the subject of 'Completing the European Economic and Monetary Union', informing the social partners on this subject regarding various programmes of the Council of the EU.
