On Tuesday 1 April 2025, POST Luxembourg announced the first finalists of season six of the POP Esports Masters Competition.

POST Luxembourg launched the POP Esports Masters in 2020. An esports team is a group of professional gamers who compete against other teams in various video game tournaments. The POP Esports Masters organise three championships each year, bringing together players from Luxembourg and the Greater Region.

POST Luxembourg noted that season six of the POP Esports Masters kicked off with the League of Legends Competition. The Royal Family Esports team qualified for the grand finals, which will take place on Saturday 7 June 2025, at the Geesseknäppchen Forum in Luxembourg-Merl. Their opponent will be the winner of the semifinals between Snooze Esports and Infernal Wolves Fenrir.

The top two teams from season six will also qualify for the Benelux Ascend Series, described as a path to the official Riot Games circuit.

The other key POP Esports Masters Competitions in 2025 are Valorant, running until Sunday 13 April, and Rocket League, from Monday 21 April to Sunday 18 May.

There will be €20,000 in total cash prizes across all three competitions, with live streaming and commentary of all matches on Twitch.

POST Luxembourg confirmed that the POP Esports Masters continues this season with a two-division organisation and a maximum level of distribution. Since last season, the POP Esports Masters has strengthened its presence on Twitch, the video streaming platform for esports competitions. All Division One matches are broadcast live and hosted by professional commentators. Each broadcast lasts several hours, with player interviews and match analyses, and can be viewed at: https://www.twitch.tv/pem_lux
