Luxembourg secured silver over the weekend at the International Table Soccer Federation (ITSF) World Cup, held in Murcia in Spain from 2 to 7 July 2019.
On Sunday, the "FKL - Fédération de Kickersport Luxembourg" team competed against a strong US team in the ITSF World Cup finals.
The match ended 33-40 for the US, putting the Luxembourg team in second place.
Minister of Sport Dan Kersch, among others, has congratulated the silver medallists, Steve Dias, Yannick Correia, Michael Correia, Daniel De Macedo, Bruno Goncalves, Leonardo Stamerra and Carlos Da Silva, for their excellent performance.
The next challenge for the team will be preparations for the 2021 ITSF World Cup taking place in Nantes in France.
