Sailing Passion asbl has announced some significant modifications to its Schools' (sailing) Cup 2017.
The committee has decided that the Schools' cup should follow in the Siggy's Cup's (corporate sailing event) footsteps. This means that the 5th edition of the Schools' cup (2017) will be organised a bit further away than usual...
A paradise sailing area, filled with thousands of wild tiny islands, a paradise for sailors - the 2017 venue is Biograd na Moru in Croatia, called "the Pearl of the Adriatic". The students (aged 14 to 19) will travel there for a week of sailing. All the boats are equipped with 4 cabins and 2 heads. Bedsheets and towels will already be provided in the boats.
Each crew is made of either 6 students + 1 co-skipper + 1 skipper OR 7 students and 1 skipper. No prior sailing experience is requested from students.

Those who have already registered and those interested in participating are kindly invited to attend the meeting that will take place on 7 December at 18:30 at the European School Mamer, room A-216.
Participation fees: €495/student; €250 for the co-skipper and free for the skipper; transportation costs (flight & bus transfers): €130.
Due to airline restrictions for this voyage, registration before 14 December 2016 will secure a seat in the aircraft. If you are not able to register before this date, please contact the organisers rapidly to express your interest. The final possible registration deadline is set at Wednesday 15 March 2017. However, late registration does not necessarily guarantee that participation will still be possible.
Registrations are only valid with a €2,000 deposit wired to the club's BIL IBAN account LU57 0021 4100 5883 4700 with the following communication "Schools' cup 2017 School XXX - crew XXX"
The committee will set a special “Skippers' briefing” towards the end of January.
