On Friday 5 February 2016, the Blues Caravan concert will be making its triumphant return for the 12th year, showcasing the latest and greatest acts on the Ruf label.

For the 2016 edition, the Blue Sisters will be exploding onto the stage at Luxembourg City's Sang & Klang to follow in the footsteps of past Blues Caravan stars such as Joanne Shaw Taylor, Laurence Jones and Samantha Fish.

Influences such as Bob Dylan and Muddy Waters led Canadian bandleader Layla Zoe on the path to fearless writing, which in turn culminated in victory at the 2005 Blues Compo songwriting competition, as well as critical acclaim for albums including 'The Lily' in 2013. If past performances are to be believed, Layla will be delivering heartfelt, exposed blues at the Blues Caravan 2015, having stated in the past "With live performances, I believe that the more raw and uncensored I am, the more I can connect with my listeners."

Finnish force Ina Forsman has been blowing audiences away since the age of 17, when she delivered a profound rendition of the Etta James classic 'All I Could Do Was Cry' on a TV talent show. International recognition and guest appearances on European tours with blues heavyweights Helge Tallqvist and Guy Verlinde followed, as well as the development of her own personal writing style. "I rarely plan anything," the singer has previously said, "so what happens on the stage, just happens."

Youngest daughter of R&B trailblazer and Stax icon Johnnie Taylor, Tasha Taylor has clearly inherited her father's talent and used it as a basis for carving her own musical niche. A Boston University drama graduate, Tasha featured in TV shows such as Ugly Betty and House before flexing her musical muscle composing soundtracks for Men in Trees and Lipstick Jungle. It was album 'Taylormade' that presented a breakthrough for Tasha, featuring sharply observed soul songs such as 'Queen' and 'I Got Love'.
