The Ministry of Family, Integration and the Greater Region today announced that this Saturday 8 August 2015, renowned Luxembourgish musician and actor Serge Tonnar will be participating in an event designed to raise awareness of dementia.

The event, entitled 'Bonjour & Anwuer - Demenz ass keen Tabu' (Hello & Goodbye - Dementia is not a Taboo') will take place in the Salle Krieps of the Abbaye de Neumunster in Luxembourg-Grund. The event was initiated by the Ministry, and will involve a song created by Serge Tonnar on the theme of dementia, with participation from those affected.

The music will incorporate a choir made up of people who have been affected by dementia and Alzheimer's disease, or who wish to show solidarity for the movement, and who do not necessarily have prior musical knowledge. The song will be filmed for a videoclip.

Serge Tonnar is a well-known musician, composer, writer and actor, who has been composing film scores since 'Le club des chômeurs' in 2002, as well as multiple theatrical productions including 'Talk Show' in 2004 and, more recently, 'Superstar' in 2007.

Visitors are advised to park in the Grund or St. Esprit car park. Those with reduced mobility will be able to arrive right at the Abbaye by bus or car.
