On Saturday 4 July 2015, an evening of Cape Verdean music will take place on the square of the Abbaye de Neumünster, to celebrate the country's independence day on 5 July.

The event will be hosted by eight of the most renowned artists from the Cape Verdean music and dance scene, as well as three well-known DJs who will playing all manner of Cape Verdean music (funaná, zouk, kizomba, batuque, hip-hop and RnB).

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the country's independence, Isabel Furtado will present a panoply of Cape Verdean stars, including: one of the brightest stars of the stage Lura; 'King of Funana' Zeca Nha Reinalda; winner of Pequeños Cantores singing award Gama; zouk and hip hop-influenced Ravidson; zouk and kizomba singer Djay Kylgan; and Dominican and Andalusian-inspired Jamice.

DJs Pingusso, Pilasom and Nelton John will also be playing at the celebrations.
