On Wednesday 20 May 2026, the City of Luxembourg (VdL) announced that as part of infrastructure works on Rue Cents traffic arrangements will be adapted from Saturday 23 to Monday 25 May.

The VdL said that as a result of these works, the section of Rue Cents located between Rue Robert Bruch and Allée du Carmel will be closed to all traffic from 06:00 on Saturday 23 May until 05:00 on Monday 25 May.

The City of Luxembourg’s Traffic Department has said appropriate signage will be put in place.

Additionally, the CFL detailed that the following changes to public transport services during the works should be noted:

Route 7

⁃ In the direction of Hamm, Route 7 will be diverted via Allée du Carmel, Rue Camille Polfer, Rue Auguste Trémont, Boulevard Charles Simonis, Rue Arthur Knaff and Rue Léon Kauffman. The Carmel Quai 2, Trèves Quai 2, Robert Bruch Quai 2 and Cents, Kierch Quai 4 stops will be suspended and replaced by the temporary Carmel Quai 2 stop (located on Allée du Carmel) and the temporary Jules Salentiny Quai 2 stop (located near the church on Boulevard Charles Simonis).

⁃ In the direction of Neudorf-Kirchberg, Route 7 will be diverted via Rue Robert Bruch, Rue Gabriel de Marie, Boulevard Charles Simonis, Rue Auguste Trémont, Rue Camille Polfer and Allée du Carmel. The Robert Bruch Quai 1, Trèves Quai 1 and Carmel Quai 1 stops will be suspended and replaced by the Robert Bruch Quai 3 stop, a temporary stop at No. 233-235 Boulevard Charles Simonis and the temporary Carmel Quai 1 stop (located on Allée du Carmel).

Route 14

⁃ In the direction of Hamilius, Route 14 will be diverted via Rue Auguste Trémont, Boulevard Charles Simonis, Rue Arthur Knaff and Rue Léon Kauffman. The Carmel Quai 2, Trèves Quai 2, Robert Bruch Quai 3, Gabriel de Marie Quai 2, Charles de Tornaco Quai 2, Arthur Knaff Quai 2 and Jules Salentiny Quai 2 stops will be suspended and replaced by the temporary Charles de Tornaco Quai 2 stop (located at No. 24-26 Rue Robert Bruch), the temporary Arthur Knaff Quai 2 stop (located at No. 12-14 Rue Arthur Knaff) and the temporary Jules Salentiny Quai 2 stop (located near the church on Boulevard Charles Simonis).

⁃ In the direction of Cents-Waassertuerm, Route 14 will be diverted via Rue Léon Kauffman, Rue Arthur Knaff, Boulevard Charles Simonis, Rue Gabriel de Marie, Rue Paul Wilwertz and Rue Auguste Trémont. The Jules Salentiny Quai 1, Arthur Knaff Quai 1, Charles de Tornaco Quai 1, Gabriel de Marie Quai 1, Trèves Quai 1 and Carmel Quai 1 stops will be suspended and replaced by the temporary Jules Salentiny Quai 1 stop (located at No. 2A-2 Boulevard Charles Simonis), the temporary Arthur Knaff Quai 1 stop (located at No. 1 Rue Arthur Knaff), the temporary Charles de Tornaco Quai 1 stop (located at No. 31-33 Rue Robert Bruch) and a temporary stop at No. 233-235 Boulevard Charles Simonis.

Route 29

⁃ In the direction of Senningerberg (Airport), Route 29 will be diverted via Rue Robert Bruch, Rue Paul Wilwertz, Rue Auguste Trémont, Rue Camille Polfer and Allée du Carmel. The Robert Bruch Quai 1, Trèves Quai 1 and Carmel Quai 1 stops will be suspended and replaced by the Robert Bruch Quai 3 stop, as well as a temporary stop at No. 233-235 Boulevard Charles Simonis and the temporary Carmel Quai 1 stop (located on Allée du Carmel).

⁃ In the direction of the Central Station, Route 29 will be diverted via Allée du Carmel, Rue Camille Polfer, Rue Auguste Trémont, Boulevard Charles Simonis, Rue Arthur Knaff and Rue Léon Kauffman. The Trèves Quai 2 and Robert Bruch Quai 2 stops will be suspended and replaced by the temporary Carmel Quai 2 stop (located on Allée du Carmel).

Route CN1

⁃ In the direction of Clausen, Route CN1 will be diverted via Allée du Carmel, Rue Camille Polfer, Rue Auguste Trémont, Boulevard Charles Simonis, Rue Arthur Knaff and Rue Léon Kauffman. The Carmel Quai 2, Trèves Quai 2 and Robert Bruch Quai 2 stops will be suspended and replaced by the temporary Carmel Quai 2 stop (located on Allée du Carmel) and the temporary Jules Salentiny Quai 2 stop (located at No. 2A-2 Boulevard Charles Simonis).

The VdL has advised that in the event of adverse weather conditions, the works will be postponed.
