The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) has announced that traffic on Rue Charles Martel will be adapted from Saturday 28 March to Saturday 11 April 2026 as part of roadworks.
According to the VdL, works will take place from 07:00 on Saturday until 18:00 on Saturday 11 April 2026. Rue Charles Martel will be closed between Rue de Merl and Rue Auguste Neyen, while Rue Marguerite de Brabant will also be closed between Rue Giselbert and Rue Charles Martel. Access to the Conservatoire will remain possible via Rue de Merl.
In addition, the following changes will apply to public transport:
• Lines 12 and 15 will be diverted via Boulevard Marcel Cahen in both directions.
• On line 12, stops Athenée, Conservatoire and Marcel Cahen will be suspended. In the direction of the city centre, replacement stops will be located at 29 Boulevard Marcel Cahen and Place de France Quai 1. In the direction of Merl-Celtes, replacement stops will be provided at Place de France and at the school stop on Boulevard Marcel Cahen.
• On line 15, the Conservatoire stop will be suspended. In the direction of the city centre, replacement stops will be Marcel Cahen Quai 2 and a temporary stop at 29 Boulevard Marcel Cahen. In the direction of P+R Bouillon, replacement stops will be the school stop on Boulevard Marcel Cahen and Marcel Cahen Quai 1.
