On Tuesday 3 March 2026, the Luxembourg Administration of Bridges and Roads announced that, as part of ongoing improvements to road infrastructure, works will take place at the Gasperich interchange from Friday 6 to Monday 9 March 2026.

According to the administration, renewal works on the central reservation at the Gasperich interchange will begin on Friday at approximately 20:00 and are scheduled to be completed by Monday at approximately 04:00. To minimise the impact on weekday traffic, the works will be carried out over the weekend.

As part of the works, the slip road from the A3 towards Metz to the A1 towards Trier at the Gasperich interchange will be closed. A diversion will be put in place and signposted accordingly.

Road users travelling on the A3 towards Metz who wish to join the A1 towards Trier will be redirected via the A3 towards Metz, the Livange interchange, the A3 towards Luxembourg and then the Gasperich interchange.

The administration noted that preparatory works for the motorway closure will begin several hours before the start of the main works. Traffic disruptions are therefore expected from late Friday afternoon.
