On Monday 17 February 2026, the City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) announced that traffic disruptions will take place on Boulevard de Kyiv and Rue des Glacis due to scheduled road and tree pruning works.
According to the VdL, Boulevard de Kyiv will be closed to all traffic on the section between Boulevard des Scillas and Rue du 9 mai 1944 from Saturday 21 February (05:30) to Monday 23 February 2026 (04:30), as part of road works.
The VdL noted that its traffic service will ensure that appropriate signage is put in place and that the diversion route is clearly marked.
Furthermore, the following changes to public transport are planned during the works on Boulevard de Kyiv:
Bus lines 5, 23, 29 and CN8
• Buses will be diverted via the Bousser tunnel;
• All stops will continue to be served as normal.
In addition, as part of tree pruning works, Rue des Glacis will be closed to all traffic on the section between Rue Belle-Vue and Côte d’Eich on Sunday 22 February 2026 from 09:00 to 16:00.
The VdL added that appropriate signage will be installed for the duration of these works.
The following public transport adaptations will apply on Rue des Glacis:
Bus lines 3 (30), 4 and 33
• Buses will be diverted in both directions via Côte d’Eich and Rue Willy Goergen;
• The stops Fondation Pescatore, Theater, Kiischtewee and Alen Eecher Bierg will be suspended;
• Replacement stops will be available at Badanstalt and Crispinus.
