On Thursday 18 September 2025, the City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) announced that roadworks will take place on Avenue de la Liberté in Luxembourg-Gare each night from Monday 22 September to Saturday 11 October 2025.
According to the VdL, these works will involve a complete closure of traffic on the specified section for the duration of the work. Traffic will be diverted via Rue Jean Origer and Rue de Bonnevoie towards the Rocade de Bonnevoie (B3) and the Pénétrante Sud.
Work schedule:
⁃ Monday 22 September to Saturday 27 September 2025, from 22:00 to 06:00
⁃ Monday 29 September to Saturday 4 October 2025, from 22:00 to 06:00
⁃ Monday 6 October to Saturday 11 October 2025, from 22:00 to 06:00
The VdL noted that its traffic service will ensure that appropriate signage is put in place and that the diversion route is clearly marked.
