The Centre de Formation Pour Conducteurs (CFC), the Driver Training Centre in Colmar-Berg, has announced that it will hold a series of "Fit For Your Bike" half-day sessions for all motorcyclists, which is has been doing for a number of years.
Organised under the patronage of Luxembourg's Minister of Mobility and Public Works, Yuriko Backes, the event is supported by the Luxembourg Police, the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps, the Road Safety Authority, the Motor Union Luxembourg, the Association of Road Victims and the Automobile Club of Luxembourg, as well as Goodyear and Dunlop. This year Triumph Luxembourg is a new partner: its offers participants the opportunity to discover and test their motorcycles.
Given the numerous fatal and serious motorcycle accidents on Luxembourg's roads in recent years, it is important that motorcyclists are made aware of the dangers and risks that await them on the road.
Before their first motorcycle rides, we recommend, in addition to a technical overhaul of the motorcycle, also getting both body and mind back into shape. It is important for motorcyclists to get used to the acceleration and deceleration of their machine and to become aware of the dangers and unforeseen events that can await them at any time and in any place. Key elements of road safety include defensive driving, being prepared for the unexpected, and being mindful of the behaviour of other road users. The half-day fitness sessions will take place at the Driver Training Centre in Colmar-Berg on the following dates:
- Saturday 5 April 2025
- Sunday 6 April 2025
- Saturday 10 May 2025
- Sunday 11 May 2025
Registration can be made by tel: 858285-1 or by email: contact@cfc.lu. The training sessions will be held in Luxembourgish, German and French, and the registration fee is €50 per participant.
