On Monday 20 January 2025, the City of Luxembourg issued a press release warning of the presence of fraudulent stickers on certain parking meters located in the capital.

These stickers bear the words "SCAN AND PAY", as well as a falsified QR code that redirects users to a fraudulent website, that impersonates the official operator "Indigo Neo", and on which users are invited to share personal information.

The City of Luxembourg reminded the public that only the "Indigo Neo" application, which requires downloading on a mobile phone and creating a user account, can be used to pay parking taxes on the streets of Luxembourg City. All other payment options offered on parking meters are neither official nor legitimate. An explanatory sticker signed "Indigo Neo" is affixed to the side of the parking meters and clearly indicates the steps to follow to pay parking fees.

The City of Luxembourg added that it is working to remove the illegal stickers as soon as possible and a complaint has been filed with the Grand Ducal Police.
