The National Roads Administration has announced changes to the maximum speed permitted on a section of the A6 motorway in Luxembourg.

Due to rehabilitation and widening works on the OA1004 motorway bridge, which will start on Friday 15 November 2024 and will last until summer 2026, the maximum authorised speed will be reduced to 70 km/h in the direction of Belgium (i.e. between the Mamer-Capellen interchange and the Capellen rest area). From Monday 18 November 2024, this speed limit will also apply in the direction of Luxembourg City.

Traffic will continue to operate on 2x2 lanes in both directions throughout the construction site, except for works where an additional lane will have to be closed (occasional blockades during weekends or nights).
