The Grand Ducal Police have reported that eleven motorists received fines for using their mobile phone while driving on Tuesday 4 June 2024.
During a traffic control on the N56 from the A4 motorway in the direction of Luxembourg-Gare, between 07:20 and 09:20, the police stopped eleven drivers who were caught using their mobile phone while driving. The motorists each received a €250 fine and lost four points on their driving licence.
In six other cases, the police found that drivers or adult passengers had not fastened their seat belts as required by the road traffic regulations, four drivers were unable to present all the required on-board documents and one vehicle was lacked a valid technical inspection.
In addition, one driver received a fine for his driving style and another for ignoring a give way (yield) sign.
