The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a fatal road accident occurred in Contern in southern Luxembourg on Monday afternoon.
The accident took place on Rue des Chaux in Contern around 16:10 on Monday 10 July 2023. According to preliminary information, a motorcyclist had crashed into a lamppost. The 36-year-old died at the scene of the accident despite having received first aid on-site.
A cyclist was also involved in the accident, having fallen and suffered minor injuries.
At the request of the public prosecutor's office, forensic police officers went to the scene to determine the cause of the accident.
