Luxembourg's Roads Administration has announced that the A13 motorway between the Esch-sur-Alzette junction and the Bettembourg crossing will be closed to vehicular traffic between 21:00 on Friday 28 and 06:00 on Monday 31 October 2022.

The Roads Administration will carry out work on the “Bowstring Schifflange” engineering structure during this time.

The preparatory work necessary for the closure of the motorway being carried out a few hours beforehand, traffic disruptions are expected at the end of the afternoon.

The traffic will be diverted according to the attached plan via A3, A4 and A6 motorways.

Furthermore, the third phase of the rehabilitation work on the “Bowstring Schifflange” engineering structure will begin on Monday 31 October 2022 around 06:00 until summer of 2023. During the works, the traffic will be in two-way mode in the form of two lanes towards Pétange and one lane towards Schengen. The maximum authorised speed will be limited to 70 km/h.
