Luxembourg's Roads Administration and the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (Corps grand-ducal d'incendie et de secours - CGDIS) in collaboration with the Inspectorate of Labour and Mines (lnspection du travail et des mines  - ITM) and the Grand Ducal Police have announced a full-scale live-excercise in the Micheville tunnel on Sunday 12 June 2022, from 07:00 to 13:00.

The excercise is organised as stipulated by Art. 37 of the Grand-Ducal regulation of 20 December 2007 relating to the safety measures applicable in certain road tunnels.

These tests are essential and compulsory in order to guarantee the safety of tunnel users in the event of an incident.

Diversions

The Micheville tunnel will be blocked in both direction between 07:00 to 13:00 on 12 June and the traffic from France will be diverted from the Belval-Gare interchange via the Esch-Belval plateau using fixed signage "D1" to the Belval-University interchange in the direction of the Raemerich roundabout.

Traffic coming from the Raemerich roundabout will be diverted from the Belval-Université interchange via the Esch-Belval plateau using fixed signage "D2" to the Belval-Gare interchange in the direction of France.
