The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a fatal road accident occurred on the CR110 route between Clemency and Grass in south-western Luxembourg on Monday morning.
The accident took place around 12:00 on Monday 2 May 2022. A vehicle driving in a long left-hand bend made an overtaking maneuver in the direction of Grass and brushed against an oncoming delivery van. As a result, the driver lost control and collided head-on with another oncoming car.
The 59-year-old driver from Dondelange was critically injured in the collision and died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the oncoming car suffered minor injuries.
The police were on site and the CR110 was closed for several hours between Clemency and Grass.
