The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a serious accident involving a van and a car occurred on the N23 in western Luxembourg this morning.
At around 08:00 on Wednesday, a motorist (car) was driving from Ospern in the direction of Reichlange when a delivery van came off a dirt road onto the N23, causing a serious accident in which the car driver was trapped in his / her vehicle. The emergency services rescued the motorist from the car and flew him / her to hospital after providing first aid at the scene of the accident.
Two of the five people present in the van were also taken to hospital for a medical examination, although they are not believed to have suffered any serious injuries.
The road was closed off until around 10:15 for the rescue operation.
