The Grand Ducale Police have reported that a fatal road accident occurred on the N10 near the Luxembourg-German border yesterday afternoon.
The accident took place shortly before 17:00 on Wednesday 7 July 2021 just before the turn to Gemünd (Germany) on the N10.
According to initial information, a group of seven motorcyclists were travelling together when one of them collided with another member of the group before coming off the road and hitting a tree. The 64-year-old Dutchman suffered serious injuries and died at the scene of the accident. The other motorcyclist also fell, but remained uninjured.
The public prosecutor's office has orded an investigation into the cause of the accident, as well as an autopsy of the deceased.
