Luxembourg's Roads Administration has announced that it will be carrying out roadworks on the A1 motorway from Friday evening until Monday morning.

The Roads Administration will renew the wearing course on the A1 between the Hamm and Senningerberg interchanges from around 22:00 on Friday 9 July until around 06:00 on Monday 12 July 2021.

During this period, the following road sections will be closed to traffic:

  • the A1 in the direction of Trier between the Hamm and Senningerberg interchanges;
  • the Hamm interchange slip road from the Schaffner roundabout and in the direction of the A1 towards Trier;
  • the slip road to the Kirchberg interchange from the N51 and in the direction of the A1 towards Trier;
  • the slip road of the Grunewald junction coming from the A7 and in the direction of the A1 towards Trier.

Traffic coming from the A1 towards Trier will be diverted via the Hamm interchange on the A1, onto the N2A, the N1A, the N1 and the Senningerberg interchange back onto the A1.

Traffic coming from the Schaffner roundabout in the direction of the A1 towards Trier will be diverted via the Hamm interchange on the A1, onto the N2A, the N1A, the N1 and the Senningerberg interchange.

Traffic from the N51 and the A7 in the direction of the A1 towards Trier will be diverted via the A1 to the Hamm interchange and via the N2A, the N1A, the N1 and the Senningerberg interchange.

Due to preparatory work being carried out a few hours in advance, traffic disruptions are to be expected towards the end of Friday afternoon.
