On Saturday afternoon, a traffic accident between Goesdorf and Dahl in north-western Luxembourg (near Esch-sur-Sûre) resulted in the death of one motorcyclist, according to the Luxembourg Police.
At 14:30 on Saturday, a motorcyclist was driving along the CR321 between Goesdorf and Dahl when he slid off the road at a bend and crashed into a tree. The motorcycle was carrying a second person, who suffered serious injuries in the accident, whilst the driver was critically injured. Both were taken to hospital.
The road was closed to traffic whilst the police investigated the scene.
Following initial police reports that the motorcyclist was critically injured, it was confirmed at around 17:00 on Saturday that the driver had died from his injuries in hospital.
