A serious traffic accident occurred on Thursday morning between several road users on the N7 between Heinerscheid and Weiswampach.

Around 06:45 this morning, a car driving from the direction of Lausdorn crashed into a lorry on the N7. The car driver suffered serious injuries as a result of the impact. A second lorry, located directly behind the first, then crashed into the rear of the lorry in front, as well.

A fourth road user, a motorcyclist, managed to avoid one of the lorries but subsequently collided with the rear of the other. The motorcycle ended up overturned on the opposite side of the road, its driver sustaining serious injuries. Immediately afterwards, there was a rear-end collision, in which a car driver crashed into a delivery lorry.

Similarly, this morning at 07:15, a driver, coming from Flaxweiler, collided head-on with an oncoming road user. The reason for this collision between Flaxweiler and Potashberg remains unknown but it led to the closure of the road. The fire department had to rescue the driver who caused the accident from his/her car. Due to the impact, the driver suffered serious injuries. The road in question was re-opened to traffic at around 08:45.

At 09:40, another rear-end collision took place involving three vehicles just before Heinerscheid. One road user suffered injuries on this occasion and the road was subsequently closed to traffic.
