Road works will begin next Wednesday on the intersection between Route d'Esch and the Kohlenberg in Luxembourg-Ville.

The works will commence at 05:00 on Wednesday 3 April and are expected to end at 18:00 on Saturday 20 April 2019.

These road and infrastructure works will involve the following traffic changes: Kohlenberg will be closed to traffic between Route d'Esch and Rue Verte; narrowing of the carriageway to two traffic lanes on Route d'Esch at the intersection with Kohlenberg and Rue Christophe Plantin; no left-turn into Rue Christophe Plantin for vehicles coming from Hollerich and Gaasperecherbierg on Route d'Esch. The Traffic Department of the City of Luxembourg will put appropriate signs in place to reflect these changes.

Regarding public transport, during the construction phase, the following modifications will be in place for city bus lines 2 and CN3. In the direction of Kohlenberg / Boy Konen, line 2 will be diverted from the Al Gasperich stop via Rue de Gasperich, Route d'Esch, Rue de Cessange and Rue Tubis towards Kohlenberg. The return journey will be in the opposite direction. The following stops will be removed: Louis de Froment, Kuelebierg and Tubishaff. In the direction of Kohlenberg, the Klensch stop will be temporarily transferred to 74-76 Rue de Gasperich. The CN3 line will be diverted from the Al Gasperich stop via Rue de Gasperich, Route d'Esch and Rue de Cessange towards Cessange-Kierch. The stops Gaasperecherbierg and Rue Verte will be removed.
