On Wednesday 3 December 2025, Luxembourg's Public Transport Administration announced the planned reorganisation of the TICE and RGTR bus networks in the southern region for expanded service.

According to the administration, Sunday 4 January 2026 will mark a major step forward for mobility in the southern region of Luxembourg with an optimisation of the public transport network aimed at strengthening the existing service.

This improvement concerns both the TICE intermunicipal and RGTR regional lines, with the objective of "meeting customer expectations by offering a more attractive and efficient service". According to the Public Transport Administration, these changes "reflect a clear commitment to improving both the service offering and its quality, adapting the network to current mobility needs and future developments."

Among the new features, the administration noted an expansion of the network with new, more direct and "attractive" routes, additional termini, the extension of certain lines and the creation of a new cross-border line facilitating travel across borders. This expansion is expected to result in a total increase of over 25% in kilometres travelled on bus lines, as well as to improve access to major business areas.

On Sunday 14 December 2025, three major changes will be implemented in the southern region with the entry into force of the national timetable changes. For more information on this, see https://chronicle.lu/category/mobility/58305-upcoming-changes-to-rgtr-bus-network-announced
