On Monday 22 January 2024, Luxembourg's national railway company, the CFL, announced that rail traffic is currently interrupted in both directions between Esch-sur-Alzette and Differdange, following an intervention by emergency forces near Belval-Soleuvre.

The CFL has been providing replacement buses between Esch-sur-Alzette and Pétange this morning, with buses serving all stops.

An update provided later in the day noted that rail traffic is interrupted in both directions between Esch-sur-Alzette and Differdange. Trains continue to run between Luxembourg and Esch-sur-Alzette (and vice versa) and between Pétange and Differdange (and vice versa).

The CFL has set up replacement buses between Esch-sur-Alzette and Differdange. These buses serve all stops on this section.

Update: Following the previous information broadcast this morning, the CFL announced that a gradual resumption of rail traffic would take place on the sections concerned. Delays or cancellations may still occur.
