Public transport frequency is set to gradually return to normal in Luxembourg from next Monday 4 May 2020, as part of the first phase of the government's lockdown exit strategy.

From Monday, the RGTR bus lines will resume their usual frequencies; a Sunday and public holiday service will run on Saturday 9 May before resuming on all Sundays and public holidays from Monday 10 May 2020. RGTR buses will again run a school service on an adapted schedule, since classes are scheduled to end at 12:45. Timetables can be viewed on www.mobiliteit.lu.

From Monday 11 May 2020, TICE bus lines 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7 will run again every 15 minutes during the week and all lines will resume their regular Sunday schedule. TICE school transport will also be available for secondary school students. The Nightbus service remains suspended until further notice.

The Adapto bus service for the disabled will operate according to the usual timetables, including on Sundays and public holidays.

In addition, the Luxtram will run at the following times and frequencies from 4 May 2020: from Monday to Friday, every 10-15 minutes between 04:55 (first departure from Luxexpo) and 23:48 (last departure from Place de l'Étoile); Saturdays, every 10-15 minutes between 05:25 and 23:43; Sundays and public holidays, every 15-20 minutes between 06:04 and 23:43. Luxembourg's railways the CFL will begin the resumption of its rail services from 11 May 2020 with two trains per hour and per line guaranteed. Frequencies will be further increased, especially during peak hours, from 25 May 2020. Further information is available on www.cfl.lu and the CFL applications.

Similarly, the CABAPS bus service for people with physical or mental disabilities working in sheltered workshops and similar structures gradually returned to normal this week. The competence centres of the Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth will also be served from 25 May 2020.

As a reminder, it is obligatory to wear face masks in public transport. The Grand Ducal Police will be carrying out checks to ensure this measure is respected; anyone found not to respect this new measure risks receiving a €145 fine.
