The City of Luxembourg has announced that the construction work being carried out by the National Roads Administration on and around the Viaduc bridge will be extended until Tuesday 25 February 2020 inclusive.
The prolongation of these works means that the following modifications to motorised traffic and public transport will remain in place until completion (25 February inclusive):
• Tuesdays to Fridays between 00:00 and 04:30, the section between Rue Chimay and the René Konen tunnel (Saint-Esprit tunnel) will be closed to all traffic in the direction of the Viaduc
• Mondays to Thursdays between 22:00 and 05:00, the Roosevelt quai 2 bus stop will be replaced by the stops Al Avenue quai 2 (lines 2, 4, 9, 13, 14, 21, 23), Hamilius quai 2 (lines 1/125, 2, 3/30, 4, 9, 10, 11, 14, 16, 18, 32) and Monterey quai 1 (lines 5, 6, 13, 15, 21, 22, 28, 31)
• The Roosevelt quai 1 bus stop in the direction of Hamilius/Monterey will function as normal
• Pedestrians will continue to have access to and be able to cross the bridge for the duration of these works
The Luxembourg City Traffic Service will ensure that the appropriate signs are put in place in relation to these changes.
