Applications are now open for the European Microfinance Award 2020, organised by the Luxembourg-based European Microfinance Platform (e-MFP), the Inclusive Finance Network (InFiNe) Luxembourg and Luxembourg Aid & Development with the support of the European Investment Bank (EIB).

The 2020 Award, under the theme "Encouraging Effective & Inclusive Savings", is open to organisations and programmes active in the financial inclusion sector that are innovating in the encouragement and delivery of savings to low-income and excluded populations.

This year, the Award aims to highlight the crucial role that savings can play for these populations and how financial providers can encourage their effective and widespread use. To learn more about the Award, eligibility criteria, the selection process and the benefits of taking part, consult the Application Guidelines and Concept Note available on the European Microfinance Award website: http://www.european-microfinance-award.com/.

The closing date for short-form applications (Round 1) is 15 April 2020 at 23:59 (CET). Applicants who successfully qualify for Round 2 will be invited to submit full-form applications during the first half of May 2020.
