On Thursday 24 October 2024, the Association Luxembourgeoise pour le Dialogue Interculturel (ALDIC) announced the launch of "ADHD Unmasked", a project aimed at teenagers aged 13 to 18 in Luxembourg, along with their parents, teachers and community members.

The project is supported by Anefore and the European Solidarity Corps; it is focused on raising awareness, challenging stereotypes and fostering a supportive environment for teenagers struggling with undiagnosed ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) as it affects around 5-7% of children and adolescents globally; however, many cases remain undiagnosed, which can lead to challenges in school and later in life.

The project aims to achieve the following objectives:
- Raise awareness about the realities of ADHD and the importance of early diagnosis.
- Create a supportive community for teenagers with undiagnosed ADHD by providing resources, workshops, and an inclusive space for sharing experiences.
- Engage parents, teachers and community leaders in the conversation, empowering them to support teenagers with ADHD.
- Advocate for more ADHD support services in Luxembourg, such as additional attention clinics or specialists.

Through focused workshops, ADHD Unmasked seeks to engage key community members in discussions about ADHD, providing practical strategies and resources to offer ongoing support for those affected.
