On Tuesday 6 July 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 118 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 818 fatalities (no new deaths since 1 June) resulting from the virus to date.
118 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Tuesday from a total of 5,833 tests carried out the day before, representing 18.59 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 2.02%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 66.14.
A total of five people are in hospital with the virus, including one patient in intensive care.
As per figures from Monday 5 July 2021, there are currently 944 active infections known, whilst a total of 69,785 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.70.
A total of 585,552 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (354,951 first doses, 230,601 second doses); 4,047 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine and 3,768 received their second dose on Monday.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
