On Wednesday 30 June 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 92 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 818 fatalities (no new deaths since 1 June) resulting from the virus to date.
92 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Wednesday from a total of 4,386 tests carried out the day before, representing 14.49 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 2.10%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 24.00.
A total of six people are in hospital with the virus, including one patient in intensive care.
As per figures from Tuesday 29 June 2021, there are currently 263 active infections known, whilst a total of 69,706 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.21.
A total of 542,793 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (338,821 first doses, 203,972 second doses); 3,821 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine and 4,096 received their second dose on Tuesday.
