On Monday 28 June 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported five new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 818 fatalities (no new deaths since 1 June) resulting from the virus to date.
Five Luxembourg residents tested positive on Monday from a total of 276 tests carried out the day before, representing 0.79 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 1.81%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 5.00.
A total of five people are in hospital with the virus, including one patient in intensive care.
As per figures from Sunday 27 June, there are currently 167 active infections known, whilst a total of 69,657 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 0.89.
A total of 527,596 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (328,962 first doses, 198,634 second doses).

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
