On Wednesday 16 June 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported nineteen new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 818 fatalities (no new deaths since 1 June) resulting from the virus to date.

Nineteen Luxembourg residents tested positive on Wednesday from a total of 7,141 tests carried out the day before, representing 2.99 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 0.27%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases. 

The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 14.86. 

A total of eight people are in hospital with the virus, including two patients in intensive care. 

As per figures from Monday 14 June 2021, there were 518 active infections known, whilst a total of 69,130 people had recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 0.73.

As of Tuesday 15 June 2021, a total of 452,571 vaccinations had been carried out in Luxembourg (273,095 first doses, 179,476 second doses).
