On Wednesday 31 March 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 387 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections for Wednesday; there have been 746 fatalities (three new deaths since Tuesday) resulting from the virus to date.
387 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Wednesday from a total of 13,171 tests carried out the day before, representing 61.81 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 2.94%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 247.86. The lowest (since the most recent wave started mid-October) was 113.00 on 19 January.
A total of 143 people are in hospital with the virus, including 25 patients in intensive care.
As per figures from Wednesday 31 March 2021, there are currently 3,804 active infections known, whilst a total of 57,092 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.02.
As of Wednesday, a total of 92,574 vaccinations had been carried out in Luxembourg; 2,298 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine and 593 received their second dose on Tuesday.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
