On Saturday 27 March 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 290 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 738 fatalities (no new deaths since Friday) resulting from the virus to date.
290 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Saturday from a total of 12,054 tests carried out the day before, representing 46.32 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 2.41%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 236.00. The lowest (since the most recent wave started mid-October) was 113.00 on 19 January.
A total of 124 people are in hospital with the virus, including 21 patients in intensive care.
As per figures from Thursday 25 March 2021, there are currently 3,409 active infections known, whilst a total of 56,318 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.08.
As of Thursday, a total of 82,653 vaccinations had been carried out in Luxembourg; 1,788 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine and 537 received their second dose on Thursday.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
