On Thursday 25 March 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 298 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 736 fatalities (eight new deaths since Wednesday) resulting from the virus to date.
298 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Wednesday from a total of 11,753 tests carried out the day before, representing 47.60 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 2.54%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 234.00. The lowest (since the most recent wave started mid-October) was 113.00 on 19 January.
A total of 124 people are in hospital with the virus, including 20 patients in intensive care.
As per figures from Wednesday 24 March 2021, there are currently 3,425 active infections known, whilst a total of 56,044 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.09.
As of Wednesday, a total of 80,328 vaccinations had been carried out in Luxembourg; 1,720 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine and 615 received their second dose on Wednesday.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
