On Monday 16 November 2020, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 164 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 236 fatalities (ten more fatalities since Sunday) resulting from the virus to date.
164 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Monday from a total of 797 tests carried out the day before, representing 127.29 per 100,000 inhabitants. Saturday 24 October marked the record high of daily cases with 862 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) in cases is now 573.43; the record of 678.57 was set on 3 November 2020.
211 people are in hospital with the virus, including 46 patients in intensive care. As of Sunday 15 November 2020, there were 9,286 active infections known, whilst a total of 17,734 people had recovered from the virus.
The effective reproductive number in Luxembourg is currently 0.98.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
