On Friday 13 November 2020, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 713 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections yesterday; there have been 219 fatalities (eight more fatalities since Wednesday) resulting from the virus to date.
713 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Friday from a total of 12,432 tests carried out the day before, representing 113.88 per 100,000 inhabitants. Saturday 24 October marked the record high of daily cases with 862 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) in cases is now 587.71; the record of 678.57 was set on 3 November 2020.
221 people are in hospital with the virus, including 41 patients in intensive care. As of Thursday 12 November 2020, there were 10,284 active infections known, whilst a total of 15,428 people have recovered from the virus.
The effective reproductive number in Luxembourg is currently 0.94.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
