Based on the government statistics announced yesterday, 29 October 2020, and which are based on the data collected up to and including 28 October 2020, this chart shows visually the comparison of sources of COVID-19 testing in Luxembourg.

Out of the total of 16,356 cases confirmed to date, 9,236 (56.5%) come from doctors’ prescriptions; 4,758 (29.1%) come from contact tracing, 1,947 (11.9%) come from large scale testing and 415 (2.5%) come from airport vouchers.

Large scale testing commenced on 19 May 2020: this figure also includes tourists coming to Luxembourg and Luxembourg residents coming back from abroad.

The airport vouchers have been in operation since 29 May 2020.

The contact tracing figures also include people who have already been placed in quarantine.
