Luxembourg's Ministry of Health has reported nine new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections from 282 tests carried out on residents on Sunday, as well as one additional death; there have now been 133 fatalities resulting from the virus.
The total number of Luxembourg residents having tested positive for coronavirus stands at 9,731 as of early evening on Monday 12 October 2020.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) in cases is now 114.71.
The number of people currently hospitalised with COVID-19 is 48, with three patients in intensive care. At present, there are 1,364 active infections known, whilst a total of 8,234 people have recovered from the virus.
The effective reproductive number in Luxembourg is currently 1.32.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
